Guests can certainly bring their own boat to our Minnesota resort. We have a boat launch at our Marina for putting your boat in Gull Lake. We request that you check in with the Marina before launching your boat. You may use any of Cragun’s designated docks at no charge.

Yes, our Gull Lake resort has several areas around the resort for parking boat trailers. We also have some plug-in stations for charging trolling motors, etc.

Cragun’s Resort welcomes registered dogs in only designated pet-friendly rooms and cabins (North) and outdoor areas. A one-time, non-refundable $75 fee per dog applies for lodge rooms. A one-time, non-refundable $200 fee per dog applies for cabins. Dogs may access their guest room/cabin indoors but are not permitted in dining areas, Gull Lake Cruise, outdoor pool area, or South Beach (except on the walking path). Dogs must remain leashed at all times when outside.

Pet relief areas and waste stations are available near the North cabins and North Beach. A maximum of two dogs per unit is allowed, with breed and size restrictions (75 pounds, please contact the resort for details).

Traveling with your dog? Please let us know before you arrive. Dogs are welcome only in designated dog-friendly accommodations and must be registered with your reservation. Guests traveling with dogs are required to review and sign our Dog Guest Agreement prior to or at check-in. If your reservation is not in a dog-friendly accommodation, please contact us before your arrival so we can help explore available options. Guests arriving with an unregistered dog or keeping a dog in a non-dog-friendly accommodation will be charged a $300 Unauthorized Pet Fee, plus $100 for each additional bedroom. In addition to these fees, guests will be required to either kennel their dog at a nearby boarding facility or remove the dog from the resort, depending on the type of lodging accommodation. Any boarding, transportation, or related costs are the responsibility of the guest. Violations of our pet policy may also result in removal of the pet from the resort and additional charges of $300 or more for damages or excessive cleaning.

Therapy animals and emotional support animals are not considered service animals under ADA guidelines and are subject to the resort’s pet policy and fees. Service animals are welcome and are not excluded from public areas where guests are normally allowed.

We have 6-hour to daily rentals, but we do not rent pontoons overnight nor for an entire week.

Resort Fee Policy

Starting January 1, 2027, an 8% Resort Fee will apply to the room portion of all reservations. This helps provide the amenities, recreation, and experiences that make every stay at Cragun’s a legendary getaway.  We will no longer be adding an additional 3% credit card processing fee starting in 2027.

Standard check-in begins at 5:00 PM. If your room is ready earlier, we’re happy to check you in at no additional charge. If it’s not yet available, you’re welcome to enjoy the amenities at our Brainerd resort while you wait.

For guests who prefer an earlier arrival, we also offer a Guaranteed 2:00 PM check-in for a $50 fee, available for lodge rooms only (excludes cabins, private homes, and Presidential Suites) with at least 3 days prior notice.

Yes. We offer shuttle services throughout the Cragun’s Resort, including to the Legacy Courses and Cragun’s lodging. If you have a group that would like shuttle service, please talk with your group planner and they will make the arrangements. There are several local shuttle services to take and return guests from local restaurants and bars. All shuttles to destinations outside of our properties including the Brainerd Airport requires advance notice and a fee. We do not shuttle to local bars or restaurants.

We have park-style charcoal grills located throughout our resort on Gull Lake that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid, or they are available for purchase in the Marina.

A 3% processing fee will be applied to all payments made by credit card. Guests who reserve their stay by phone will not be charged the 3% credit card processing fee at the time of booking. However, if a credit card is used at checkout, the 3% processing fee will apply.
To avoid this fee, guests may choose to pay by debit card, check, or cash, which are not subject to the 3% processing fee.

Starting January 1, 2027, we will no longer be adding an additional 3% credit card fee. 

Yes. Fire rings and wood are provided at many locations on the beach free of charge. Fire rings are available on a first come, first served basis and it is expected that our guests will share the fire rings with other guests.

Cragun’s does not have golf carts available for guest rental. However, we can provide contact information for a local agency that rents golf carts and will deliver them to you at our Brainerd, MN resort.

Our Gull Lake resort does not have RV camping facilities. We can provide you with information on campgrounds in the Brainerd Lakes area.

Yes! We’re happy to provide parking for RVs and camper trailers. However, overnight stays in RVs or campers are not allowed, and guests are required to book a hotel room or cabin with us.

Cragun’s Resort is located on the shores of Gull Lake, approximately 8 miles east of downtown Brainerd in Minnesota, about a 10-minute drive.

Guests staying at Cragun’s Resort receive discounted rates on the Legacy Championship Courses, the Nice 09 par 3 course, and FootGolf.

For even more value, our Recreation Pass includes unlimited rounds on the Nice 09 par 3 course or FootGolf during your stay, making it a great option for guests who plan to play multiple times.

Yes. Pillsbury State Forest is located just a few miles north of Cragun’s Resort with 27 miles of hiking, biking and winter snowmobile trails. In the Gull Lake Area, you can also explore the East Gull Lake Bike Trail and the Paul Bunyan State Trail, which offers 120 miles of beautiful biking between Brainerd and Bemidji. The 75-mile paved Paul Bunyon trail is a popular spot for hiking, biking, in-line skating, and snowmobiling nearby.

We require all guests to be able to provide a credit card at check in which is authorized to cover the balance owed on their stay plus incidental charges, you can choose to pay cash at checkout instead of charging the card.

If anyone in the room is under the age of 18, there must be someone over the age of 21.

The Tamarack Event Centre, or sports centre, is not open 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We do have some functions or events that rent this space. Please check with the front desk or our vacation sales team to find out if the centre is open during your stay.
